Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today announced that the latest installment of the wildly popular Guitar Hero(TM) franchise, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s(TM), is now available at retail stores nationwide. Available exclusively for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s takes fans back to an era where neon was radical, fanny packs were in, and spandex was never tight enough.
Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s features visually stunning retro rock venues and hipster characters, unlockable guitars, and intense game play modes. The totally stellar soundtrack includes songs by artists such as Flock of Seagulls, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest.
